Rooted in Texas tradition yet refreshed with modern design, the new Whole Foods Market in McKinney reflects both the heritage and evolving character of its community. The STUDIOGEE team led fixture planning, space planning, and design development, shaping an environment that brings warmth, efficiency, and a sense of place to the 48,000 SF store.
Drawing inspiration from the simple, functional forms of Texas sheds, the exterior architecture balances regional familiarity with modern retail storefronts that signal openness and accessibility. Inside, the design celebrates natural materials and sustainability—warm white oak paneling, recycled tile accents, and clean architectural lines establish a welcoming backdrop for the shopping experience.
Equally important was the integration of thoughtful planning. Our team’s fixture layouts and circulation strategies ensure a seamless, customer-friendly flow across departments, supporting both operational needs and Whole Foods Market’s focus on community engagement. The result is a space that feels authentically local while offering a modern retail experience designed to inspire and endure.
